Rods
There are various types of fishing rod available, including Carp Rods, Fly Rods and Predator Rods, but we are interested in
the basic Feeder and Float Rod.

Float and Feeder Rod
The Float and Feeder Rod has several purposes:
- It provides a means of casting the end tackle or rig to where we want to fish.
- It can absorb and cushion the fish whilst trying to land it.
- It provides a means to tighten the line quickly, to set the hook when we have a bite (striking).
- The Quiver Tip Feeder Rod would also detect the bite.
Most rods are made from carbon or glass fibre or a composite mix of both, and come in two or three parts. The ideal length
of these rods would range between three and four metres, with a cork or duplon (black sponge material) handle.
Whatever your budget you should be able to find a rod suitable for what ever style of fishing you want to try.
